Excerpt of the K+T review:

The CT 223 is certainly not a loudspeaker that shows its best when playing rap or hip-hop. This we noticed quickly when we inserted Frank Sinatra's "It Was A Very Good Year" performed by Ray Charles and Willi Nelson into our CD player. The CT 223 reproduced every single note with a lot of warmth, but not overblown, while the vocals almost got under your skin. The bass was quite a bit lower than the diagram suggested when we played "Fever" from the same CD, this time with Natalie Cole. That's the sound that the CT 223 likes most. Whatever blues, jazz and small combo music we played, the results were more than pleasing. But they certainly didn't give up when they faced bass heavy rock from the 60's or 70's. They were, however, more at home with Johann Sebastian Bach's "Trio Sonata", where violin, cello, flute and harpsichord were positioned perfectly right. The slight tendency to brighten the sound a bit didn't bother us, Bob Dylan's "Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands" was reproduced with sweetness turning the CT 223 into the right roommate for a study or entertainer for the kitchen. It's not a speaker for the youth or for upgrading the "sound boxes" of music centres, it's rather for more mature newcomers, entering the speaker building in later life, starting cautiously to build their first pair."...
