The crossover of the standard Empress

The crossover consists of - as expected from Newtronics - rather fewer but high quality components: Newtronics Empress Frequenzweiche
The tree woofers are driven by a powerful coil with large wire diameter. Otherwise, only air core coils, high quality Mundorf MKP capacitors and metal oxide resistors are being used.

The components should be fixed to a wooden board (a PCB might not be sturdy enough) and afterwards wired up.

The cabinet and its assembly

The Empress can be build using three different designs:
- 6°, tilted, like the original
- upright, or even simpler:
- upright with rectangular panels
