Lina is a floorstanding speaker with an Omnes Audio CX 3.0 coax driver assisted by two woofers for lower bass.
The three-way crossover controls the high frequencies of the coax driver with 24 dB/octave while the low frequencies are controlled with 12 dB/octave downwards and 18 dB/octave upwards. The woofers connected in parallel are controlled with 12 dB/octave.
The Lina was designed by Stefan Zehnder and Thomas Schmidt.
An excerpt from the Klang+Ton review
"The Lina's approach is particularly easy-going and relaxed; immediately noticeable is the airiness and the openness due to the English tuning of the tweeter - that's terrific, especially if you consider that the drivers per side cost a mere 81 Euros. We preferred the bass reproduction of the closed version, being somewhat quicker off the mark. Using the full length bass reflex tube the focus is rather on maximum low bass - appropriate shortening of the tube will will extract a shade more dynamics. Tuning depends on room conditions. Particularly pleasing was the positioning in a small room; near-wall and close to the listener; the sound was very well balanced.
The Lina is in top form reproducing music from unplugged instruments, especially vocals are sparkling and all participants are neatly placed on a wide and deep stage. The fair Lina doesn't miss a trick when it comes to handling higher volumes. Even at nasty sound levels this speaker remains relaxed and pleasant - like a real Lady."
