After many enquiries in forums Udo Wohlgemut decided to design a loudspeaker where, against all tradition, the bass and midrange drivers differ by one inch.

The result is a speaker with a lot of bass presence but is no slouch in high frequencies and midrange either.

"..I continue d with some rock and jazz, better known for their musicality than the quality of the recording. . The sound is grown-up, pleasant and straight. . Listening to well known CD's I noticed details, particularly in bass, that I had never heard before. Although I wanted to listen to only one track on Pink Floyd's "Dark Side Of The Moon" I carried on listening up to 2/3 of the recording. Somehow, via The Doors, Golden Earring, Jethro Tull and John McLaughlan (who's got by the way an excellent Web Site), I got to Supertramp's "Crime Of The Century". I had never heard the harmonica and vocals by Roger Hodgson on "School" performed with so much conviction and live character. I was really impressed how much pressure and diversity the drums developed. That's exactly what I had been looking for. Dynamics without irritation independent of volume and neutral reproduction... "

MiDu - impedance correction for valve amps

If you want to use the MiDu together with a valve amp we recommend the following impedance correction:
- 6.8 µF ELCO, non-etched
- 100 µF ELCO, non-etched
- 0.39 mH air core coil (0.71 mm wire)
- 1.2 mH air core coil (1.00 mm wire)
- 2.7 Ohm Mox10 resistor
- 4.7 Ohm Mox10 resistor
