Review by Hobby HiFi 3/2005: ..."It was to be expected that these delicate loudspeakers quickly showed that they are an authority in reproducing the music of small ensembles, chamber orchestras, jazz trio and rather soft pop. Works like Carmina Burana or similar orchestrated pieces could be more than they can handle.
Vivaldi's Four Seasons played by the Sonatori De La Gioiosa Marca (an excerpt can be found on the Manger Hörtest CD) is a perfect example for the Kolibri to show up an exceptional resolving ability, but only if the volume is not too high. Even the smallest details are spaced perfectly and are reproduced meticulously. The Kolibri clearly demonstrates that this is one of the best Vivaldi recordings ever. Most interesting is that reviewers tend to forget about the time when listening to the Kolibri. Even experienced reviewers stop changing CD's every minute and catch themselves simply enjoying the music. The Kolibri's forte is that they don't strain the listener's ears, they just revel in music with ease. The musical performance takes place using the entire room, with lots of air in-between the instruments, but never loosing sight of the total picture."
