Versacube is a system kit based on the Versacube subwoofer cubes featured in Klang+Ton 6/2006. . For the system shown on the left you'll need 4 Versacube subwoofer cubes and a full rage cube.

The centre cube is the full range; the driver is a Beyma 8 AG/N producing with crossover a rated SPL of 89 dB (2.83V, 1m). 2 to 4 sealed bass cubes are recommended per side.

Excerpt of the review in Klang+Ton 4/2007:
... "Playing back the appropriate music material these rock-hard drivers are just hammering, tight, fast and dry. It's almost like the sound of a good PA system. The bass cubes need to be adjusted precisely to ensure a harmonious sound and that is not done in a jiffy. But when done correctly, the sound stage is colossal and full of dynamics. Astonishingly, the full range driver doesn't show as much coloration as the lab results are suggesting. Even critical vocals are reproduced without flaws; although there is an exaggeration coming from the full range, it's certainly not unpleasant. But there is a amazing attack that also helps to reproduce percussion. But to enjoy adequate high frequencies one has to sit in the sweet spot - a one man fun loudspeaker, so to speak. The enormous three-dimensionality of the Beyma supports the overall imaging ability quite a bit; even outside the stereo triangle it's still possible to locate instruments - amazing! Due to a high pass the level is hardly limited, depending on music material it's rather the bass that might give up. As already suggested, five of these beasts are needed for home cinema, but it should be made clear that without proper aligning of the speakers towards the listener the sound will be mediocre. To align the centre is simple, but to arrange the main speakers and especially the rear ones could become a nightmare. But those who are not restricted in any way may build this type of surround sound system with astonishingly little effort and without spending a fortune and place it in their sweet home."

Our kit (the centre cube) consists of:

- 3 bags damping material
- 8 PAN screws 4x20 mm
- 2 binding posts
- 1 m cable 2x1.5 mm2
- self-adhesive sealing tape

For four subwoofer cubes we recommend one of the following amplifier modules

One of the following amplifier modules is capable of driving 4 subwoofer cubes; therefore we recommend to use one module per side (four cubes) or one module for both sides (two cubes). The module could e.g. be placed in the rear panel of the full range cube. The module's loudspeaker outputs should then be connected to a second pair of binding posts (to be ordered separately).

One pair binding posts for connecting the module's speaker outputs
