Akerselva is a 3 way high-end floorstanding speaker with coaxial driver and four woofers.

Akerselva is available with passive crossover or with integrated amplifier (active version). The integrated amplifier provides the electronic crossover (digital signal processor) and four power amplifiers with 250W RMS each.

In the kit the Seas Excel C18EN002/A coaxial driver is working in the mid and high frequency range. Four woofers of type Wavecor SW182BD01 in a closed cabinet provide a powerful and precise bass reproduction.

Akerselva has been developed by Daniel Gattig, Dennis Frank and Thomas Schmidt.

The crossover consists of a digital signal processor which drives four power amplifiers.

Between 34 Hz and 24000 Hz, the frequency response of this loudspeaker is very linear on axis. The decay spectrum is nearly perfect. At low volume, i.e. 85 dB at 1 m, the nonlinear distortions are lower than 0.6% above 500 Hz and mostly below 1% at 95 dB at 1 m .
