The Alamo is a beautiful shelf speaker with a wide frequency range designed by Thomas Schmidt. The bass performance of this small shelf speaker is quite astonishing (up to 55/40 Hz at -3/-8 dB) but at the expense of a low efficiency of 78 dB (2.83V/1m).

The Alamo is equipped with the following drivers:
- Morel MDT 29 tweeter
- Expolinear D6.8P bass / midrange driver

Excerpt of the the Klang+Ton review in issue 6/2006:
... "Obviously, we didn't expect the bass power of a large floorstanding speaker. But considering the size of our contender the bass was more than respectable and quite clean and controlled. Additionally, the Alamo demonstrates an unbelievable confidence and nonchalance in handling all kinds of music types. The performance is relaxed and light-footed wherever possible and attacking and dynamic when needed. To be honest, when we designed the Alamo we had somehow the cliché of the pipe smoking jazz and classic lover in mind. This limitation was literally hit around our heads when they got cracking on rock music. Even the nastiest attacks by electronic sound sources couldn't force the Alamo to its knees. Despite the slight drop in frequency response on paper, the high frequencies were not at all understated or dull, on the contrary: the upper frequency range harmonised splendidly with the colourful performance of the speaker and gave the liveliness the finishing touch. The most astonishing quality of the Alamo is the amazing three-dimensionality. Width as well as depth of the stage is depicted with exceptional balance and attention to detail without losing the focus on the individual musicians. The Alamo reproduced all recordings the way they were recorded, without coloration and without being too analytical. In the true sense this is a loudspeaker with excellent sound, but never disregarding the music - and that#s exactly what we wanted to achieve."
