Bodega is a slim floorstanding speaker that employs a Monacor DT-254 tweeter and a Monacor SPH-135C woofer.
Bodega has been developed by Bernd Timmermanns.
The speaker is built in bassreflex technology.
The crossover consists of a 2nd order high-pass filter (12 dB per octave slope) for the tweeter. The woofer is connected to a 2nd order low-pass filter (12 dB per octave slope) with a parallel RCL and a parallel LC circuit to smoothen the frequency response.
Between 30 Hz and 20 kHz, the frequency response of this loudspeaker is linear on axis. The decay spectrum is without fault. At low volume, i.e. 90 dB at 1 m, the nonlinear distortions are below 0,5% above 500 Hz.
the crossover components (right), to be mounted on a small wooden board.
Kit without cabinet, price per speaker EUR 333,00 excl. VAT: € 279.83 / $ 296.62
The high-end kit comes with Clarity Cap SA 630V capacitors for the tweeter. All inductances are baked varnished coils for minimizing microphonic effects. - The current flow through the coil creates a magnetic field which sets the reel of wire in motion. This motion induces a voltage in the coil which adds itself to the signal. The stiffer the reel of wire is, the less the signal will be altered.
Kit with high-end-crossover without cabinet, price per speaker EUR 390,00 excl. VAT: € 327.73 / $ 347.39
If you prefer to mount the crossover components on a 159 x 127 mm universal PCB instead on wood: Universal PCB RA160, order no.. str-RA160, price per unit: EUR 5,90 excl. VAT: € 4.96 / $ 5.26 We recommend one board per kit (two boards for a speaker pair)
