Chorda - as in Hobby HiFi 1/2002

This floorstanding speaker is in all aspects designed with excellence in mind; it starts with the cabinet: a bracing panel has been put in-between baffle and rear wall, with struts against both walls. This is major step in achieving the goal of having a sound-dead cabinet. The Alcone loudspeakers are constructed the same way, they also feature ceramic tweeters, the Chorda, however, is in a totally different price range. Technical data:

b) the lowest-loss capacitor we know of
on the other hand, where resistors are in series and quality is of no importance, we did without baked varnish coils (baked varnish coils are available against an extra charge of 2.50 EUR)
