Esslinger is a three way floorstanding speaker with 4 bass speakers per side.
Esslinger is a closed-cabinet loudspeaker with drivers of Wavecor.
The kit is delivered with the following drivers: - a Wavecor TW030WA11 tweeter - two Wavecor WF152CU14 midrange / bass drivers - four Wavecor WF223BD01 woofers
The loudspeaker has been developed by Dennis Frank and Daniel Gattig.
The crossover consists of an active module Hypex with digital signal processor.
The frequency response of this speaker is perfectly linear.
The decay spectrum as shown in the waterfall diagram is exemplary, free of any disturbing resonance.
At low volume, i.e. 85 dB at 1 m, the nonlinear distortions are below 0,3% above 400 Hz and doesn't exceed 0,7% at 95 dB at 1 m between 300 and 15000 Hz.
"The Esslinger is a box that is just a lot of fun - one of those loudspeakers that you keep turning up while always feeling completely at ease. The bass has this springy, swinging quality that only light membranes with a lot of air behind them can manage. In their narrow range, depending on the setting, the two mid-range speakers ensure neutral-colored and extremely clean mids - and that loudspeaker reproduces this wonderfully three-dimensional image so well. The same applies to the tweeter, which operates from nearly unbelievable 1100 Hertz in the hi-fi setting and does its job excellently. In fact, the "party" setting in our listening room is a bit more to the point: The larger membrane area in the bass on the one hand brings out a little more dynamics, on the other hand, the box seems to be even more precise due to the stronger concentration in the presence area, which I find very appealing. Regardless of the type of music, or volume: The Esslinger does its job extremely confidently and leaves nothing to be desired in terms of sound quality and dynamics."
