The WR 125S has an exceptional feature called XBL2 Technology: there are two air gaps to ensure that the 6 mm long voice coil enters the second air gap after it has left the first one. Thus the linear excursion is extended considerably.
Review in Hobby HiFi: "From the beginning the Faro excels with a well balanced sound, tending towards a rich bass, and with well rounded but still surprisingly detailed high frequencies. Depth and width of the reproduction are convincing. The bass is clear and tight and - considering the slim design - goes down amazingly deep. The high quality crossover components produce a smooth but simultaneously clear sound, two characteristics that seem to be contradictory. If e.g. the voltage divider of the tweeter is changed, then the sound is somewhat clearer, but at the expense of a slightly higher brightness, while a smoother sound results in less attention to detail. The top quality components by Mundorf, however, prove that these two characteristics are not necessarily mutually exclusive, but are compatible with one another to a very high degree." ....
