Bernd Timmermanns calls these two loudspeakers "Fast", a synonym for Fullrange And Subwoofer Technology.

This loudspeaker consists of a Visaton FRS 8 fullrange driver, where the radiation was examined with baffles of different width. For bass a Visaton WS 17E, 4 Ohm, was added. This resulted in two different systems, since fullrange drivers produce a particularly well balanced sound with a small and a 40 cm wide baffle.

An excerpt of the Hobby HiFi review:

"Despite the relatively strong radiation convergence of high frequencies, the positioning of the speakers in parallel to the side walls had a favourable effect. Pointed towards the listening position resulted in excessive sharpness, the sound was rough and obtrusive. This effect largely disappears when the speakers are angled between 15 and 30 degrees towards the listener. A listening test revealed that both speaker versions had similar sound characteristics. Both produced a well balanced sound with tight and powerful, but not excessive bass. It's true that high frequency range doesn't sound as smooth as one expects from a good dome tweeter. But the sound balance is spot-on. Particularly impressive is the three-dimensionality. That's also where both versions differ: the wide baffle results in a wider sound stage, vocals and instruments are big and impressive. The narrower baffle leads to a more pointed sound, seems to be a bit more precise, but also less spacious. Vocals are slightly more compact." Fast aus Hobby Hifi 2/2006

Our Fast high-end kits

Our high-end versions contain the following improvements:
- to ensure that the fullrange drivers are not only driven by a non-etched ELCO, a 3.3 μF Mundorf MKP capacitor is added in parallel (C3).
- instead of a spring loaded terminal we supply a terminal with gold plated brass binding posts.
- The cable for internal wiring is made of silver plated copper; 3 metre Inakustik Premium LS Silver 2x 2,5 mm2

Fast 1 high-end kit without cabinet, price per unit EUR 139,00 excl. VAT: € 116.81 / $ 126.15

Fast 2 high-end kit without cabinet, price per unit EUR 139,00 excl. VAT: € 116.81 / $ 126.15

Please note: all kits come with impedance correction.
