The following Tops can be place on top of the bass unit: - with Tang Band full range driver or - with Tang Band coax driver or - with 2 way cabinet, comprising a Tang Band tweeter and Omnes Audio bass driver (see below).

Excerpt of the review in Klang+Ton 6/2007: ... "The full range version, obviously needs to be angled towards the listener, while both other variations are fine when placed in parallel to the side walls. Initially, we paid attention to the bass that was ultra low and sonorous. Like any good transmission line, the Hot Sprot bass displays an unspectacular but always present low frequency range. In conjunction with the two way Top this system succeeds in producing an extremely relaxed and pleasant sound, perhaps without attention to the finest details, but certainly with an impressive homogeneity and a wide range of timbres and dynamics. The combination with the coax driver shows slightly more three-dimensionality, more differentiation of instruments and more depth, but at the expense of a slightly less balanced tonality and size of the sound reproduction. The full range driver version displays an even more pronounced three-dimensionality, width and depth of the stage were just phenomenal, also the reproduction was extremely thigh an direct – no surprise, since the full range driver was totally relieved of lower frequencies that were contributed by the bass unit with exceptional control."
The Klang+Ton recommendations: "The full range version is ideally suited for the connoisseur who prefers lower volumes, the coax version will attract listeners who fancy a precise and detailed reproduction, while the two way version is for those of us who favour a bold and big sound.
Please note: compared to the Klang+Ton version our kit contains additional three mats polyester fleece and nap foam since this was recommended by the designer.
