Mahtan is an active bass-reflex cabinet loudspeaker with drivers of Wavecor and SB Acoustics.
The kit is delivered with the following drivers: - a Wavecor TW030WA07 tweeter - a SB Acoustics SB17NBAC35-8 midrange / bass driver - a SB Acoustics SB17NBAC35-8 woofer
In Mahtan is used a Hypex Fusion Amp FA122 amplifier. The crossover is made with the integrated DSP. The lower woofer is additionally connected to an inductor.
The loudspeaker has been developed by Marek Held.
The frequency response of this speaker is perfectly linear.
The decay spectrum is perfect.

The high-end kit is delivered with baked varnish air core coil for minimizing microphonic effects. - The current flow through the coil creates a magnetic field which sets the reel of wire in motion. This motion induces a voltage in the coil which adds itself to the signal. The stiffer the reel of wire is, the less the signal will be altered.
