Auditorium Monitor is a three way compact speaker for highest performance and reproduction quality
Auditorium Monitor is a closed-cabinet loudspeaker with drivers of Mundorf and Wavecor.
Auditorium Monitor can be perfectly complemented by the bass supplements Auditorium Sub or even more powerful Auditorium Sub XL.
The kit is delivered with the following drivers: - a Mundorf AMTU160W1.1-R air motion transformer (ribbon-tweeter) - two Wavecor WF182CU13 mids drivers - four Wavecor WF259PA01 woofers
The loudspeaker has been developed by Dennis Frank and Daniel Gattig.
The crossover consists of: - a 3rd order high-pass filter (18 dB per octave slope) for the tweeter. - a band pass consisting of a 2nd order high pass filter (12 dB per octave slope) and a 3rd order low-pass filter (18 dB per octave slope) for the mids-woofer. - a 2nd order low-pass filter (12 dB per octave slope) for the woofer.
The frequency response of this speaker is perfectly linear.
The decay spectrum as shown in the waterfall diagram is exemplary, free of any disturbing resonance.
At low volume, i.e. 85 dB at 1 m, the nonlinear distortions are below 0,4% above 200 Hz and doesn't exceed 0,4% at 95 dB at 1 m between 300 and 15000 Hz.
"What can I say? For the first time ever I had the feeling that our listening room was too small - and not because it would have boomed unduly - on the contrary: I have never experienced such a disciplined and at the same time such a deep bass - great respect to the developers, who have not relied on a cheap sensation here. No, the problem was the listening distance, which only feels "right" from about 4 meters and more, because then the precision and size of the voices and instruments gets realistic - closer up, it is impressive, but everything, really everything seems a bit too large. With the right distance, however, the world of really big, really good studio monitors opens up, which really doesn't miss anything, absolutely nothing, and which don't let anything loud or dynamic upset them. That is great precision, great dynamics, overview and at volumes that one would not normally listen to at all - with the Auditorium they become a thoroughly pleasant experience."
"Nothing less than a statement of what is possible when it comes to large monitors."
the crossover components (right), to be mounted on a small wooden board.

The high-end kit is delivered with baked varnish air core coils or Mundorf copper foil coils on important parts of the crossover for minimizing microphonic effects. - The current flow through the coil creates a magnetic field which sets the reel of wire in motion. This motion induces a voltage in the coil which adds itself to the signal. The stiffer the reel of wire is, the less the signal will be altered. The capacitors for the Mundorf AMTU160W1.1-R are of type polypropylen (MKP) Mundorf MCAP EVO Silber Gold Öl 450 V.
Kit with high-end-crossover without cabinet, price per speaker EUR 3867,00 excl. VAT: € 3249.58 / $ 3444.55
If you want to use a valve amplifier with this speaker an impedance correction should be employed. In this case the component quality is less important; therefore, we offer only one kit (upon request higher quality components are available).
Price per impedance correction for one speaker, to be mounted on a small wooden board. EUR 6,80 excl. VAT: € 5.71 / $ 6.06
If you prefer to mount the crossover components on a universal PCB instead on wood PCB 150x115 mm, tin plated, price per unit: EUR 4,70 excl. VAT: € 3.95 / $ 4.19 We recommend three boards per kit (6 boards per speaker pair)
