La Copernicus Top aktiv es una caja acústica compacta de tres vías
El Copernicus existe en cinco versiones:
Copernicus Top aktiv es un altavoz cerrado con chasis fabricado por la empresa Mundorf y la empresa Wavecor.
El kit incluye los siguientes altavoces: - un transformador air motion (altavoz de agudos de cinta) Mundorf AMTU160W1.1-R - dos altavoces de medios Wavecor WF182CU13 - un altavoz de graves Wavecor WF259PA01
La columna de altavoz Kura ha sido desarrollada por Dennis Frank y Daniel Gattig.
La respuesta de frecuencia del altavoz es perfectamente lineal.
El diagrama de cascada es modélico, exento de cualquier tipo de resonancia molesta.
Las distorsiones no lineales a volumen bajo (85 dB, 1m) se sitúan por sobre los 500 Hz y bajo 0,5%, manteniéndose incluso a 95 dB, 1m, en el rango audible, bajo 0,6% .
"The Copernicus´ performance with the free-field setting directly in front of the wall is impressing, but in the long run it is clearly too powerful. So I first turned the bass department down by about 6 decibels - that´s better. The impression of infinitely deep and dynamic bass is retained, but it doesn't immediately jump in the listener's face (or stomach). This impression extends over the entire audible frequency range: you can clearly hear that there is significantly more membrane area in every position than with your standard loudspeakers. And because the whole thing is so beautifully linear and without any distortion, you can always get really loud without stressing your ears - very good! When it comes to home cinema, things are going just as well... I caught myself stepping on the gas on the subs for the correct doomsday soundtrack à la "Independance Day" or "2012" - but then that's not entirely possible without worrying about the building´s structural integrity…. "
